New Managing Director Expands Reach Of Asian-American Business Group
NEW YORK, NY, DECEMBER 21—James Lee, CPA has joined Friedman LLP as a principal and a managing director of the firm’s Asian-American Business Group.
His addition to Friedman’s specialized practice enhances the firm’s ability to deliver audit, tax, and advisory services to Asian companies with U.S. operations.
In his 25-year career, including a lengthy stint as an international audit manager at a Big Four, James developed a considerable array of clients originating in Asia, overseeing audit, tax and merger and acquisition engagements for major Korean and Japanese conglomerates.
According to managing partner Bruce Madnick, “James gives us an added edge in seeking out Asian business owners and demonstrating why we are well-positioned to work with them. His experience also dovetails with Friedman’s strong overall presence in apparel and manufacturing.”
The Asian-American Business Group, comprised of partner-in-charge Eddie Wong, James, and several experienced managers and staff, was formed to help Asian-owned companies remove language and cultural barriers to doing business in the United States while maximizing financial opportunities. It is based in Friedman’s New York City office.
