NEW YORK, NY, OCTOBER 11—Friedman LLP has again been named one of the New York Area’s Largest Accounting Firms by Crain’s New York Business.
Announced in the “Accounting Report” section of the Sept. 25-Oct.1 issue of the business weekly, the rankings are based on the total number of professionals that firms employed in the New York City metropolitan area. Friedman is ranked at #20.
Additionally, Michael Gaines, Friedman’s Human Resources Partner, was quoted in the section’s lead story, “Calculating a Future in Accounting,” which reported on the allure of the accounting field for current undergraduates and the lucrative job market that awaits them.
Gaines described the impact of Sarbanes-Oxley and how it “has created a cottage industry that is in the billons of dollars of revenue for CPA practices.”
