EAST HANOVER, NJ, MARCH 30— Friedman LLP was a corporate co-sponsor for Sports Nite Out, an annual fundraiser and community event held March 22 in Whippany to benefit the United Jewish Communities of MetroWest.
Partner Andrew Chavkin served as the evening’s co-chair, introduced guest speaker Chad
Pennington, quarterback for the New York Jets, and led question-and-answer session following his remarks. Approximately 500 attendees turned out to hear Pennington discuss the value of community service and the traits that make good leaders both on and off the field. To the delight of the crowd, he unexpectedly extended his appearance for an impromptu autograph session.
For a number of years, Friedman has lent active support to UJC , an organization that supports educational, social, cultural and vocational services, in addition to a wide array of activities for all ages. Also on hand were New Jersey managing partner Jeffrey Zudeck, co-chair of an upcoming UJC investment forum, and Scott Krieger, who has extensive ties to the organization and has co-chaired a number of its past events.
