NEW YORK, NY, JUNE 4—Friedman LLP has promoted a record number of tax, audit, forensic accounting services and quality control professionals, resulting in the addition of six partners, a partner emeritus and four principals. The promotions span the firm’s offices in Manhattan, East Hanover, New Jersey and Uniondale, Long Island.
Jeffrey Mestel, Mitchell Lynn and Linda Heaney are the firm’s newest audit partners. Mestel works in Manhattan, Lynn is based in Uniondale and Heaney divides her time between the two. New tax partners include David McKelvey in New York and Robert Siegel in New Jersey. In the quality control area in Manhattan, Jay Goldberg joined the partnership, while Elliot Hendler earned the distinction of partner emeritus in recognition his continuing contributions after 50 years in public accounting. Both work in Manhattan.
New principals in Manhattan include: Steven Barranca—tax; Robin Mayer—forensic accounting; and Howard Handwerker—audit; and Patrick Brennan—quality control. Managing partner Bruce Madnick called the individuals “a key component of the firm’s success and a gift to its efforts.”
