Susan Miano, a Principal at Friedman LLP and a member of the Firm's Forensic Accounting, Litigation Support and Valuation Service (FLVS) Group, provides business valuation, accounting and taxation services to a varied array of clients, including individuals, estates, family limited partnerships, real estate ventures and privately-held small businesses. 

Susan’s experience and responsibilities include:

  • Preparing business valuations of closely held companies for mergers and acquisitions, financing, family and estate planning, matrimonial and commercial litigation support matters

  • Performing litigation support services for attorneys and business owners, including mediation and settlement support, trial preparation, etc.

  • Analyzing and organizing financial documentation and business operations

  • Assisting in growth strategies and business expansion

  • Performing accounting consultation and services for small business

  • Providing tax services to individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts and estates

  • Performing analysis and accounting for investment portfolios and holding companies

  • Providing analytical services to attorneys regarding litigation services

  • Overseeing ongoing accounting functions

Susan has authored articles, technical webinars, and has been a featured speaker at conferences on the subjects of business valuation, as well as conducted seminars targeted to upper and middle managers regarding internal controls in the banking and finance industries.


Susan received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from St. Francis College, New York.  She is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in New York and in New Jersey, and earned her Accreditation in Business Valuation (ABV) and Certification in Financial Forensics (CFF) from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
