Friedman is proud to announce that state and local tax specialist Christian Burgos, Esq. joined the firm as Managing Principal and co-leader of the State and Local Tax practice (“SALT”). Christian brings his individual and business clients invaluable experience managing the full spectrum of compliance issues relating to multi-state tax matters.
Leveraging more than 13 years of experience, Christian consults on a wide range of multi-state income/franchise and sales and use tax matters, including nexus and apportionment analyses, state tax provisions, restructurings and mergers and acquisitions. Additionally, he represents clients in negotiations and appeals before state taxing authorities, and advises clients on the application of state credits and incentives.
Prior to joining Friedman, he worked at several large firms and presently teaches post-graduate courses as an adjunct professor in the Master of Science in Taxation (“MST”) program at California State University.
