With pride for his many accomplishments and sorrow for his departure, we have the bittersweet duty to announce the retirement of Partner Douglas J. Heun, effective April 30, 2021. In retirement, Doug will act as a good will ambassador to the firm.
Doug has been an outstanding resource to our firm, serving the southern New Jersey region for more than a decade. He joined following Friedman’s merger with Tracey, Heun, Brennan & Company, which Doug founded in 1972. Over the years, Doug's exceptional work in financial planning and managerial consulting has made him an invaluable asset.
Beyond his professional prowess, Doug's contributions to both charitable and civic organizations have enhanced Friedman's reputation in the community. He has served as President of the Challenged Children’s Charities Corporation, Vice President of the Helen L. Diller Vacation Home for Blind Children and treasurer for Cape Mediation Services.
"Doug is truly a source of inspiration for all of us, and while he will be sorely missed we look forward to furthering his sentiment of professional excellence and community service," said Fred Berk, Co-Managing Partner.
