The Fashion Institute of Technology has selected student Alexis Casamassima as the recipient of the 2nd annual Friedman LLP Entrepreneurship Scholarship.
Friedman's Managing Partner Bruce Madnick and Partner Harriet Greenberg recently presented Alexis with a scholarship check at a reception at Friedman LLP's New York office. Steven Frumkin, Dean of FIT's Jay and Patty Baker School of Business and Technology, and Steven Brookstein, Chair of FIT's Entrepreneurship for the Fashion and Design Industries Department, were also in attendance.
"Alexis was selected as this year's Friedman scholar because of her strong entrepreneurial spirit. Her long-term goals match perfectly with what our Fashion Services Group does everyday -- helping entrepreneurs start and develop their businesses," said Greenberg. "Our scholarship program is just one of the many ways we are fulfilling our commitment to education, entrepreneurship and the future of the fashion industry."
The Friedman LLP Entrepreneurship Scholarship is awarded annually to an FIT student enrolling in the two-year Entrepreneurship program.
