PHILADELPHIA, December 5, 2018 -- Friedman LLP, a leading accounting, tax and advisory firm based in New York and with locations in New Jersey, Long Island, Philadelphia, and Beijing, announced today that Kim Dula, CPA will assume the position of Managing Partner for the firm’s Philadelphia office, effective January 1, 2019.
Ms. Dula will work closely with current Managing Partner Chuck Shechtman to transition management responsibilities. Mr. Shechtman will continue serving clients and developing new business opportunities within the Mid-Atlantic region.

Ms. Dula is currently a partner at Friedman, where she provides tax planning and compliance services to the firm’s high net-worth individual clients and their closely-held businesses and private foundations. She also provides clients with the consulting and compliance services required to fulfill their estate, gift and fiduciary needs.

In addition to her role as managing partner, Ms. Dula will continue to manage the Philadelphia tax department and remain active in the firm’s high net-worth and closely held business practices.

Ms. Dula is a Pennsylvania native who moved from the Wilkes-Barre area to Philadelphia in 2007. She speaks locally on tax issues and the accounting profession and is actively involved in community organizations such as Cradles to Crayons, the Philadelphia Estate Planning Council, the Estate and Financial Planning Council of Southern New Jersey and the Planned Giving Committee for Samaritan Healthcare and Hospice.
As a mother of two daughters and a leader in Friedman’s Women’s Development Network, Ms. Dula recognizes the importance of work-life balance, establishing herself as a strong role model both at home and at Friedman.
Much of the staff in the Philadelphia office joined Friedman following its acquisition of Philadelphia-based accounting firm Shechtman Marks Devor PC in January 2016. Ms. Dula has been a partner at Friedman LLP since 2013.
