Friedman LLP, a regional accounting, tax and advisory firm, partnered with Make-A-Wish New Jersey to provide a dream bedroom makeover for a young girl. A few Friedman employees also volunteered their time to help with the makeover.
Eight-year-old Eliana suffers from chronic liver disease. She wished for — and received — a pink ladybug motif and bunk beds in the room she shares with her 5-year-old sister.
The Friedman volunteers applied the vibrant pink paint and set up a room of new furniture that, in addition to the beds, included a new desk, dresser, art easel, lamps, rugs, window treatments, craft sets and a seating area with zebra chairs. All the changes were completed while Eliana was at school, and the big reveal awaited her that afternoon (photos attached.) Eliana was overjoyed with the dramatic transformation and the wish was a success.
Reflecting on the firm’s 90-year history, Managing Partner Bruce Madnick said, “Demonstrating a commitment and personal involvement with our clients, employees and community remain at the core of our values, which have served Friedman so well over the years."
Later this spring, Friedman will partner once again with Make-A-Wish New Jersey to help grant an upcoming with of a child battling a life-threatening condition.
