Lindsay Gaal, managing principal, chief operating officer and chief human resources officer at Friedman LLP, has nearly 15 years of experience providing comprehensive HR services. In addition to her work in public accounting, she has provided HR consulting to professional services and consumer products companies to meet their HR needs. As chief operating officer, she contributes to the design and execution of firmwide business and operations strategies.
As the leader of the firm’s Human Resources Department, Lindsay collaborates with management in determining and implementing talent development, retention strategies, succession planning, resource management, benefits, and compensation strategies. She also leads her team in the formulation of HR policies and procedures, ensuring that the firm is in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Lindsay plays an advisory role in the areas of recruitment and continuing professional education.
Lindsay’s purview as chief operations officer sees her lead aspects of the firm’s mergers and acquisitions activity, operational processes and policies, adoption of automated solutions, and change management practices.
